Biography

Carolyn Rice is currently pursuing a start-up opportunity in the medical device field,following a 20-year career with Cordis Corporation. During her tenure with Cordis, she pivoted from engineering to R&D project management and finally global strategic marketing, where she was accountable for a global cardiovascular portfolio. Her marketing responsibilities included product launch strategy, portfolio branding, lifecycle management, and strategic planning to inform pipeline development. Prior to her marketing role, Carolyn spent 15 years leading product development programs within the R&D organization, including Nitinol implants for peripheral arteries, vena cava filters, neurovascular stents, PFO closure devices, and drug-eluting coronary stents.

Carolyn received an AB in Engineering Sciences from Dartmouth College in 1995, a BEfrom Thayer School in 1996, and MEM in 1997.
