Tuition for the 2018–2019 academic year is set at $17,832 per term. Tuition is the same whether the student is enrolled in two, three, or four courses.
Most students work on their MEM Project (ENGG 390) during the summer term. Students must enroll for ENGG 390 during the same term as their internship. If a student is not enrolled in any other courses while completing ENGG 390, a partial tuition charge, set at 15% of full term tuition ($2,675 for Summer 2019), is assessed. A student may not enroll in more than one other course while taking ENGG 390. Students should also budget off-campus living expenses for the summer.
The MEM degree is typically completed in four academic terms plus one summer internship. A student who enters in the fall term usually completes the program 15 months later near the end of the following November.
Students without their own hospital insurance must purchase a Dartmouth College hospital insurance policy for approximately $3,000 per year. See Dartmouth College Health Service for details.
